TUESDAY MARKETING: If you want a solid monthly income, and it IS possible, at Zazzle, you need to understand that the public wants to PERSONALIZE products when they go to Zazzle. If you don't wish to offer personalization, your success rate drops to nearly zero on Zazzle unless you are one of the few well-known brands that are sought after. Zazzle's strength is Personalization...don't forget that! Marketing Tip: Online Newsletters E-Newsletters: Amy Black has offered some wonderful advice on creating online newsletters. Free website hosting makes it easy to create an online newsletter. This provides backlinks, search-able content and interaction with your client base. Write about what you know, be diverse to make your audience look forward to your publication. Mine has done a fantastic job of marketing my work. I have people who honestly look forward to the various sections. Having this wide variety of subject matter (all of which I am comfortable writing about) broadens my reading base to include book lovers, pet lovers, families, photography students and so much more! No one is going to buy products with an image slapped on it that does not fit or is cut off! Either selectively add only on those products it fits, or create different sizes. 2) You are killing your search-ability by using the same keywords for ALL products! You'll see what I mean when you browse Zazzle products! Marketing Tip: Get recognized! The 'big guns' call it branding. Settle on a Name and Logo for your business. Keep URL names properly capitalized and consistently use your business name and logo from one website to another. Every card, product you sell has this information associated with it and that's on...e way people find you! A URL should not be lower case, different from your store name or an assigned number! Your logo should appear on the back of cards you sell not your mug shot! Schedule Marketing Time ... I spend 6-weeks creating and 2-weeks marketing. This schedule allows me to create new work, by doing so I'm updating my online stores with new product (great for search engines) and giving myself new content. Search engine submission should be done every 8-weeks, so ...by following a clear schedule you MAKE THE TIME to market. If you don't market your sites, they will be lost in the sea of trillions! Today's Tip to Promote Your Work is CONTENT! Remember that rich content is not only important for search engines to find, but either educates, informs, inspires, persuades or entertains your readers. We all have experience and passion, find that within yourself and begin to write about it in your blog or websites to accompany your art...it WILL pay off! |
